Un altro fantastico WorldSBK round per il Turkish Puccetti racing in California

Il Turkish Puccetti Racing torna dalla trasferta americana con due terzi ed un quarto posto, ma soprattutto con la conferma di essere una delle squadre protagoniste del campionato mondiale Superbike. A Laguna Seca Toprak Ragzatlioglu ha conquistato per due volte il terzo gradino del podio, quel podio che nella Superpole race gli è sfuggito per un solo secondo.
Ora il campionato mondiale Superbike va in vacanza e tornerà a Portimao a settembre. Oltre un mese di meritato riposo per il Turkish Puccetti Racing che nei restanti quattro round cercherà di concludere nel migliore dei modi la stagione 2019.

Another WorldSBK fantastic round for the Turkish Puccetti Racing in California

The Turkish Puccetti Racing returns from the American trip with two thirds and a fourth place, but above all with the confirmation of being one of the protagonists of the Superbike World Championship. At Laguna Seca Toprak Ragzatlioglu has twice conquered the third step of the podium, that podium that he missed in the Superpole race for just one second.
Now the Superbike World Championship goes on vacation and will return to Portimao in September. Over a month of well-deserved rest for the Turkish Puccetti Racing that in the remaining four rounds will try to finish in the best way the 2019 racing season.

Razgatlioglu è terzo nella prima gara WorldSBK a Laguna Seca!

Il nono round del campionato mondiale Superbike è proseguito oggi al Weather Tech Raceway di Laguna Seca negli U.S.A. con la disputa della Superpole e della prima delle tre gare previste dal programma.
Ieri Toprak Razgatlioglu aveva disputato le prime due sessioni di prove libere, chiuse al settimo posto con il tempo di 1'23”943. Oggi il pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing è tornato sulla pista del “cavatappi” per il terzo ed ultimo turno di libere, ed è riuscito a migliorare il suo best lap di ieri. Con in giro in 1'23”503 ha chiuso le prove libere al quarto posto assoluto.
In tarda mattinata ha preso il via la Superpole. Con la gomma da gara Toprak era nelle prime posizioni ed una volta montata la copertura da qualifica ha fatto registrare il tempo di 1'22”875 chiudendo al settimo posto e conquistando così una partenza dalla terza fila, nella gara che si è disputata sulla distanza di 25 giri.
Come spesso gli accade Toprak è stato autore di una partenza bruciante che gli ha permesso di portarsi in quarta posizione, a ridosso dei primi. Dopo la caduta di Bautista, il pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing ha mantenuto un ritmo molto elevato che gli ha permesso di mantenere il terzo posto, staccando i suoi inseguitori.
Un altro fantastico risultato per Razgatlioglu che ha conquistato il suo ottavo podio in carriera ed il sesto in questa stagione.
Nella classifica del campionato Toprak occupa il sesto posto con 169 punti, mentre nella speciale classifica degli “Independent Riders” è al comando con 38 punti di vantaggio sul secondo.
Domani Razgatlioglu disputerà la Tissot Superpole Race di soli 10 giri e nel pomeriggio gara2, che così come quella odierna si disputerà sulla distanza di 25 giri.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “Prima della gara abbiamo apportato alcune modifiche al set up della moto, perché non ero contento del feeling e del risultato ottenuto in Superpole. Nelle prove abbiamo capito quale gomma utilizzare per la gara e sapevo di poter tenere un buon ritmo. Sono partito bene ed inizialmente ho cercato di andare a prendere Rea. Poi ho visto cadere Bautista ed ho capito che avrei potuto conquistare un altro podio. Sono molto felice non solo per la terza posizione ma anche perché l'ho ottenuta su di una pista dove lo scorso anno ero stato vittima di una brutta caduta. Domani ci attendono altre due gare molto difficili, ma daremo il massimo come sempre. Grazie al team che sta facendo un lavoro eccezionale”.

Razgatlioglu third in the first WorldSBK race at Laguna Seca

The ninth round of the Superbike world championship continued today at the Weather Tech Raceway of Laguna Seca in the United States with the Superpole and the first of the weekend's three races.
Yesterday, Toprak Razgatlioglu took part in the first two free practices, closing in seventh place with a time of 1'23”943. Today, the Turkish Puccetti Racing rider was back on the “Corkscrew” track for the third and final practice, in which he improved on his best time of yesterday to set a 1'23”503 and round out practice in fourth place overall.
The Superpole got underway in the late morning. On a race tyre, Toprak was up in the top positions. He then put in the qualifying solution and set a time of 1'22”875, finishing in seventh place and scoring a third row start for the afternoon's 25-lap race.
As is often the case, Toprak made a fantastic start which saw him immediately move into fourth place right behind the leaders. Once Bautista crashed, the Turkish Puccetti Racing rider maintained a very strong pace which allowed him to hold third place and breaking away from the chasing pack.
Another wonderful result for Razgatlioglu who scores the eighth podium of his career and his sixth this season.

In the championship standings, Toprak lies sixth with 169 points, while in the special Independent Riders classification, he leads the way with a 38-point lead over the second-placed rider.
Tomorrow, Razgatlioglu will compete in the 10-lap Tissot Superpole Race and race 2, which again takes place over a distance of 25 laps.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “Before the race, we made some changes to the bike set-up, because I wasn't happy with the feeling or the result achieved in Superpole. In practice we worked out which tyre to use for the race and I knew I could maintain good pace. I started well and tried to go after Rea at first. Then I saw Bautista crash and I knew I could score another podium. I'm really pleased, not only for the third place but also because I've scored it a track where I had a bad crash last year. Tomorrow two more tough races await us, but we'll give it our all as always. Thanks to the team for their amazing work”.

Terzo posto in gara2 per Razgatlioglu a Laguna Seca!

Si sono disputate oggi al Weather Tech Raceway di Laguna Seca in California, la Superpole Race e gara2, valide per il nono round del campionato mondiale Superbike.
In gara1 disputata ieri, Toprak Razgatlioglu il pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing, aveva ottenuto il terzo posto, conquistando così il suo sesto podio stagionale, l'ottavo in carriera.
Questa mattina il pilota turco ha disputato la Superpole Race, gara sprint che si disputa sulla distanza di soli 10 giri, che assegna punti ai primi nove classificati e stabilisce la griglia di partenza delle prime tre file di gara2.
Toprak scattava molto bene al via, ma la gara veniva interrotta con la bandiera rossa nel corso del primo giro a causa di una caduta, con le moto che restavano vicine alla pista. Nuova procedura di partenza, per una gara ridotta a soli 8 giri. Anche questa volta il pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing partiva bene ed era quinto alle spalle di Haslam. Razgatlioglu impiegava alcuni giri per superare il pilota ufficiale della Kawasaki, e quando lo faceva ormai mancavano solo pochi giri alla fine ed era quindi impossibile raggiungere e superare Sykes, che lo precedeva in terza posizione. Toprak chiudeva al quarto posto, ad un secondo dal podio.
La seconda ed ultima gara di questo round americano si è disputata nel pomeriggio, sulla distanza di 25 giri. Razgatlioglu ha preso il via dalla quarta casella in seconda fila, in conseguenza del risultato ottenuto nella Superpole Race. Anche questa volta il pilota turco è partito molto bene e si è portato in terza posizione alle spalle di Davies e Rea. Per molti giri ha cercato di tenere il passo dei primi, ma da metà gara circa, visto che non era possibile raggiungerli, ha gestito la sua posizione, tagliando il traguardo al terzo posto e conquistando così il suo settimo podio stagionale. Un risultato fantastico frutto del suo talento e del grande lavoro di tutto il Turkich Puccetti Racing.
Nella classifica del campionato Razgatlioglu è sesto con 191 punti, a soli 11 punti dalla quinta posizione.
Il prossimo appuntamento con il campionato mondiale Superbike è fissato per il 6, 7 e 8 settembre a Portimao in Portogallo.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “Nella Superpole race l'interruzione della gara con la bandiera rossa ci ha penalizzato perché non abbiamo cambiato la gomma ed avevo meno grip dei miei diretti avversari. Sono comunque riuscito a conquistare il quarto posto, che è molto importante per la griglia di partenza della seconda gara, che era quella che oggi mi interessava maggiormente. Mi spiace per il contatto con Bautista, ma io ho tenuto la mia traiettoria e ho sentito solo che ci siamo toccati. Non mi ero accorto che lui era caduto. In gara 2 sono partito bene ed ho cercato di tenere il passo dei primi, ma dal decimo giro un repentino calo della gomma mi ha costretto a gestire la mia posizione sino al traguardo. Sono molto contento di questo settimo podio stagionale. Ora sono pronto per disputare la 8 ore di Suzuka e poi mi godrò un meritato riposo. E così farà la mia squadra che voglio ringraziare per l'importante aiuto che mi ha dato qui a Laguna”.

Third in race 2 for Razgatlioglu at Laguna Seca!

Round nine of the Superbike world championship came to an end at the Weather Tech Raceway of Laguna Seca in California today with the Superpole Race and second Superbike race.
In yesterday's race one, Turkish Puccetti Racing rider Toprak Razgatlioglu scored third place, achieving his sixth podium of the season and the eighth of his career.
This morning, the Turk took part in the Superpole Race, a sprint race of just 10 laps, which awards points to the first nine and establishes starting positions on the front three rows of the grid for race 2.
Toprak made a very good start, but the race was brought to a halt with a red flag on lap one after a crash, with the bikes left close to the track. The race was soon restarted, though was shortened to 8 laps. The Turkish Puccetti Racing rider again got away well and was lying fifth right behind Haslam. It took Razgatlioglu a few laps to pass the factory Kawasaki rider and once he did there was no time left to try and reach, and pass Sykes who lay ahead in third. Toprak therefore finished in fourth place, one second from the podium.
The second and final race making up this American round took place in the afternoon, over a distance of 25 laps. Razgatlioglu started from fourth on the grid, thanks to the result he scored in the Superpole Race. The Turkish rider made another very fast start and was immediately up into third behind Davies and Rea. He tried to keep pace with the two leaders but from around mid-race, realising that it wasn't possible to catch them, he decided to manage his position, crossing the line in third place once more to score his seventh podium of the season. A fantastic result, fruit of both the rider's talent and Turkish Puccetti Racing's hard work.
Razgatlioglu positions sixth in the championship standings with 191 points, just 11 points from fifth.
The next Superbike world championship round will take place over the weekend of 6-8 September at Portimao in Portugal.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “In the Superpole race, the red flag interruption penalised us because we didn't change the tyre and I had less grip than my direct rivals. I was nevertheless able to finish in fourth place, an important result in terms of the grid for race 2, which is what I was most interested in. I'm sorry about the contact with Bautista, but I held my line and only felt that we touched each other. I didn't realised he crashed. In race 2, I started strong and tried to keep pace with the leaders. Around lap ten, there was a sudden drop in the tyre and that forced me to manage my position to the line. I'm very pleased with this seventh podium of the season. Now I'm ready for the Suzuka 8 Hours and then I'll enjoy a well-deserved rest. And so will my team who I wish to thank for their important support here at Laguna”.
