Turkish Puccetti Racing – Razgatlioglu conquista la terza posizione in gara2 a Jerez!

Terza ed ultima giornata di gare all’autodromo Angel Nieto di Jerez de la Frontera in Spagna, nel sesto round del campionato mondiale Superbike. Ieri il pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing, Toprak Razgatlioglu aveva ottenuto l’undicesima posizione in Superpole ed era stato autore di una grande gara1, conclusa al quinto posto, dopo aver lottato sino alla fine per la quarta posizione.
Oggi in una giornata soleggiata e calda, il giovane pilota turco è tornato in pista per disputare la Tissot Superpole Race, che si disputa sulla distanza di soli dieci giri.
Toprak è scattato bene al via ed ha recuperato subito tre posizioni, concludendo il primo giro all’ottavo posto. Nel corso del quarto passaggio il giovane pilota turco si è portato in settima posizione e l’ha mantenuta sino alla bandiera a scacchi.
In gara2, che si è disputata nel primo pomeriggio, Razgatlioglu è partito dalla settima casella in terza fila, in seguito al suo risultato nella gara sprint. La sua partenza è stata velocissima e gli ha permesso di chiudere il primo giro al quinto posto, a stretto contatto con i piloti che lo precedevano. Nel prosieguo della gara Toprak passava al quarto posto ed al quarto giro era terzo, vicino alla coppia di testa composta da Van der Mark e Rea.
Nonostante un calo della gomma anteriore il giovane piloti turco manteneva il terzo posto sino alla bandiera a scacchi, andando così a conquistare il suo secondo podio stagionale ed il suo quarto da quando corre nel mondiale Superbike.
Nella classifica del campionato Razgatlioglu è in settima posizione con 95 punti.
Il prossimo appuntamento con il campionato mondiale Superbike è fissato per il 21, 22 e 23 giugno al Misano World Circuit in Italia.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “Questa mattina per la gara sprint abbiamo provato un set up che non mi era piaciuto e allora siamo tornati all’assetto precedente che ,mi ha permesso di stare vicino a Van der Mark e a Rea. Sono molto contento della mia terza posizione. Sono partito bene ed ho sempre tenuto un ritmo molto elevato, ma purtroppo a otto giri dalla fine la mia ruota anteriore ha iniziato a scivolare molto ed ho preferito gestire il mio vantaggio e portare a casa un altro podio che è molto importante per me e per la mia squadra che voglio ringraziare per l’ottimo lavoro che ha svolto qui a Jerez”.

Turkish Puccetti Racing – Razgatlioglu scores a third-place finish in race 2 at Jerez!

The third and last day of action at the Angel Nieto circuit in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain for this sixth round of the Superbike world championship. Yesterday, the Turkish Puccetti Racing rider Toprak Razgatlioglu obtained eleventh place in the Superpole and completed a very strong race 1, crossing the line fifth after having battled for fourth almost to the line.
In hot and sunny conditions today, the young Turk was back on track for the Tissot Superpole Race, while took place over a distance of just ten laps.
Toprak made a good start and immediately made up three places, lying eighth at the end of the lap one. During lap four, the young rider moved up to seventh, a position he was able to hold all the way to the line.
In race 2, which played out in the early afternoon, Razgatlioglu started from seventh on the grid thanks to his result in the sprint race. He made a very fast start which quickly put him up into fifth place, in close contact with the riders immediately ahead of him. As the race went on, Toprak moved up to fourth and on lap four, he was third, close to leaders Van der Mark and Rea.
Despite a drop in front tyre performance, the young Turk held third place for the remainder of the race, thus scoring his second podium of the season, the fourth of his Superbike career.
In the championship standings, Razgatlioglu positions seventh with 95 points.
The next round of the Superbike world championship will take place over the weekend of 21-23 June at the Misano World Circuit in Italy.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “This morning, for the sprint race, we tried a setup that I didn’t like and so we went back to the previous setting for race 2, which allowed me to stick close to Van der Mark and Rea. I’m very pleased with third place. I started well and was able to maintain a very fast pace, but unfortunately eight laps form the end my front tyre started to slide and I preferred to manage my advantage and bring home another podium, which is very important to and my team. Thanks to my team for their great work here at Jerez”.
