Giornata di test a Misano per il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing

Il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing è tornato in pista lunedì 26 agosto al Misano World Circuit per una giornata di prove che si è rivelata molto positiva. Hikari Okubo e Lucas Mahias, hanno percorso oltre 250 km a testa, ritrovando il feeling con le rispettive moto dopo la lunga pausa estiva. Oltre agli interessanti riscontri cronometrici, questa giornata di test è servita per valutare nuove soluzioni per le Kawasaki ZX-6R dei due piloti, che al termine della giornata si sono dichiarati contenti del lavoro svolto assieme allo staff tecnico del team. Il prossimo appuntamento è ora fissato per il weekend del 6,7 e 8 settembre all’autodromo di Portimao in Portogallo, per il nono round del campionato mondiale Supersport.

Lucas Mahias: “Questi test ci volevano proprio. Mi sono tolto di dosso la ruggine accumulata nella lunga pausa estiva ed ho potuto lavorare molto sulla mia moto, provando nuove soluzioni che non avremmo potuto provare nei weekend di gara, dove il tempo è molto limitato. Pur senza curarmi troppo dei tempi sul giro ho fatto segnare dei crono molto veloci, segno che quello che abbiamo provato ci potrà essere molto utile per questo finale di campionato. E ora concentriamoci sul prossimo appuntamento di Portimao”.

Hikari Okubo: “E’ stata una giornata molto positiva sotto molti punti di vista. Mi ha fatto piacere ritrovare subito il feeling con la 600, visto che l’ultima volta che ho corso l’ho fatto alla 8 ore di Suzuka su di un 1000, ma soprattutto lavorando assieme alla mia squadra, siamo riusciti a risolvere quei problemi di assetto che mi avevano rallentato nel weekend di Donington. Ho percorso molti giri su ottimi tempi e questo mi ha confermato di essere pronto per il prossimo round di Portimao”

Test day at Misano for Kawasaki Puccetti Racing

Kawasaki Puccetti Racing was back on track on Monday 26 August at the Misano World Circuit for a day of testing that proved very positive. Hikari Okubo and Lucas Mahias, completed more than 250 km each, getting the feeling back with their bikes after the long summer break. As well as resulting in some interesting lap times, this test day also served to evaluate new solutions for the two riders’ Kawasaki ZX-6R machines. At the end of the day, both men were pleased with the work carried out together with the team’s technical staff.  The next appointment is now set for the weekend of 6, 7 and 8 September at the Portimao racetrack in Portugal, for the ninth round of the Supersport world championship.

Lucas Mahias: “We needed these tests. I was able to shake off the cobwebs after the long summer break and work a lot on the bike, testing new solutions that we would never have time to test during a race weekend, when time is very limited. Without focusing too much on lap times, I nevertheless set some very good references, a sign that what we tested could be very useful for this last part of the championship. And now we turn our attentions to the next round at Portimao”.

Hikari Okubo: “It’s been a very positive day for many reasons. I was happy to immediately get the feeling back with the 600, seeing as the last time I rode it was with a 1000 in the Suzuka 8 Hours, but more importantly by working hard with my team we were able to solve those setting problems that slowed me over the Donington weekend. I completed many laps with excellent times, and this confirms we are ready for the upcoming Portimao round.”
