Il Kawasaki Puccetti racing conclude i due giorni di test SBK a Jerez

Seconda ed ultima giornata di test per Lucas Mahias ed il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing sulla pista di Jerez de la Frontera in Spagna. Ieri il pilota francese aveva debuttato sulla Ninja della squadra di Manuel Puccetti iniziando a lavorare per adattarsi alla sua nuova moto e per adattare la stessa alle sue esigenze di guida, ed il migliore dei 66 giri percorsi in totale era stato di 1'40”852. Anche quella odierna è stata una giornata calda e soleggiata e questo ha permesso a Lucas ed al suo staff tecnico di portare a termine il programma di lavoro previsto in questi due giorni di prove. Mahias ha percorso un totale di 79 giri ed ha migliorato nettamente il suo best lap di ieri, grazie ad un giro in 1'40”195
Completati i test il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing non effettuerà più altre sessioni di prove sino al termine della pausa invernale, iniziando a lavorare sulla nuova ZX-10RR versione 2021 che riceverà a giorni nella propria sede di reggio Emilia.

Manuel Puccetti – Team Principal: “Due giorni assolutamente positivi. Per essere al debutto assoluto in Superbike Lucas si è comportato molto bene, con tempi sul giro che ci fanno ben sperare per la prossima stagione. Mi è piaciuto molto il suo approccio alla nuova moto, e come si è confrontato con la squadra, che ha quindi potuto lavorare in modo produttivo. Probabilmente è stato favorito anche dal fatto diu aver già utilizzato in passato moto di questa cilindrata, ma comunque questi test ci hanno confermato che la 1000 è la sua moto. Ora ci attende una lunga pausa nella quale lavoreremo per preparare le moto in versione 2021”.

“Un'altra giornata molto positiva. Ho continuato a lavorare con la mia squadra per capire sempre meglio la mia moto. Questa mattina ho iniziato bene, mentre nel pomeriggio ho provato a forzare il mio ritmo ma ho capito che non era il modo migliore per adattarmi alla mia Ninja. Negli ultimi minuti ho montato per la prima volta una gomma da tempo e mi ci sono trovato subito molto bene. Ho abbassato il mio miglior giro di questi due giorni, ma sono anche riuscito a comprendere meglio alcuni comportamenti della moto. Sono stati due giorni importanti e sono felice di aver provato la moto e soprattutto di aver trovato un buon feeling con la stessa. Ora inizierà una lunga pausa invernale e già non vedo l'ora di ritornare sulla mia Ninja e di iniziare questa nuova avventura in Superbike”.

Kawasaki Puccetti Racing concludes two days of SBK testing at Jerez

Lucas Mahias and Kawasaki Puccetti Racing have completed a second and final day of testing at the Jerez de la Frontera track in Spain. Yesterday saw the Frenchman make his debut aboard the Puccetti Ninja, as he started work to adapt to his new bike and, in turn, adapt the bike to his riding style. He completed the best of his 66 laps in 1'40”852. Today was another warm and sunny day, which allowed Lucas and his technical staff to complete all of the work they had scheduled. Mahias covered 79 laps in all, easily improving on his best lap of yesterday to set a 1'40”195
The test now completed, Kawasaki Puccetti Racing will not carry out any more sessions until the end of the winter break, starting to work instead on the 2021 version of the ZX-10RR that it will receive any day at its base in Reggio Emilia.

Manuel Puccetti – Team Principal: “Two absolutely positive days. Considering this is his Superbike debut, Lucas has done very well, setting lap times that auger well for next season. I really like his approach to the new bike, and the way he's worked with the team, meaning that we were able to work productively. It probably helps that he's ridden bikes of this engine size before, but the test has nevertheless confirmed that the 1000 is the bike for him. Now we face a long break, during which we'll work to prepare the 2021 version of the bike.”

“Another very positive day. I've continued to work with my team to better understand my bike. I made a good start this morning, while in the afternoon I tried to force my rhythm, which wasn't the best way to adapt to my Ninja. In the final minutes, I put in a race tyre for the first time and immediately got on well. I lowered my lap time but was also able to better understand some aspects of the bike's behaviour. Two important days and I'm pleased to have tested the bike and found good feeling with it. Now we have the long winter break but already I cannot wait to get back on my Ninja and start this new adventure in Superbike”.
