Il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing prepara la ripartenza ai mondiali SS e SBK partecipando al CIV di Misano Adriatico.
La lunga sosta, dovuta all'epidemia che ha bloccato lo sport in tutto il mondo, è ormai alle spalle ed il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing sta definendo il proprio programma di preparazione alla ripresa dei campionati mondiali Supersport e Superbike che si riprenderanno il primo weekend di agosto, sul circuito di Jerez de la Frontera in Spagna.
Per ritornare alle competizioni in pista il Team Principal Manuel Puccetti non poteva che scegliere il Campionato Italiano Velocità, dove prima come pilota e successivamente con la propria squadra è iniziata la sua storia sportiva.
Il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing è lieto di comunicare che prenderà parte al secondo round del CIV che si disputerà il 25 e 26 luglio al Misano World Circuit. I piloti Lucas Mahias e Philipp Ottl disputeranno le prove e le gare della categoria Supersport, mentre Xavi Fores sarà wild card nella categoria Superbike. Nella 600 i due piloti saranno alla guida di Kawasaki ZX-6R preparate secondo il regolamento del CIV, mentre Fores scenderà in pista con la stessa moto con la quale disputa il campionato mondiale Superbike.
Il CIV occupa da sempre un posto speciale nel cuore del manager italiano. Come pilota Manuel ha corso nell'Italiano nel 2000, mentre il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing ha debuttato nel CIV nel 2007, dove è poi stato impegnato in modo permanente e da protagonisti sino al 2016. Dieci stagioni vissute da protagonisti, con numerose vittorie in gara ed il titolo di campione Italiano conquistato da Stefano Cruciani nel 2013.
Manuel Puccetti: “Sono molto contento non solo di poter tornare a correre nel CIV, ma soprattutto perché questa nostra partecipazione rappresenta il nostro ritorno in pista dopo la lunga sosta forzata. Sarà emozionante tornare nel Campionato Italiano, che per tutti noi rappresenta un ambiente famigliare, dove siamo cresciuti e dove abbiamo scoperto, insieme alla FMI, piloti come Morbidelli, Nocco, Faccani e Rinaldi, oltre ad aver vinto il titolo Supersport con Cruciani. Non ho mai smesso di seguire il CIV, una fantastica scuola ed un grande trampolino di lancio per Piloti e Team, soprattutto per le cat. Moto3 e Supersport. La nostra partecipazione sarà un impegnativo allenamento in vista della prossima ripresa dei mondiali delle derivate. I nostri piloti non sono mai stati fermi e si sono allenati sia in palestra che in pista, dove Mahias e Ottl hanno utilizzato moto gemelle, fornite dal Team, di quelle che utilizzano nel mondiale, ma preparate in configurazione stock”.

Kawasaki Puccetti Racing prepares to return to the SS and SBK championships by taking part in the italian CIV in Misano Adriatico
The long break owing to the Covid epidemic, one that saw sport the world over brought to a standstill, is now behind us and Kawasaki Puccetti Racing is defining its plans as it prepares for the Supersport and Superbike world championships, set to restart over the first weekend of August, at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Spain.
In preparing to return to the track, it comes as no surprise that Team Principal Manuel Puccetti has chosen the Italian CIV championship, the series where his sporting career began, first as a rider and then with his own team.
Kawasaki Puccetti Racing is pleased to confirm that it will take part in the second round of the CIV, scheduled to take place over the weekend of 25-26 July at the Misano World Circuit. Riders Lucas Mahias and Philipp Ottl will participate in the Supersport practices and races while Xavi Forés will compete as a wildcard in the Superbike category. In the 600 class, the two riders will ride Kawasaki ZX-6R bikes prepared in accordance with CIV regulations, while Forés will take to the track with the same bike he rides in the Superbike world championship.
The CIV series has always held a special place in the Italian manager's heart. As a rider, Manual raced in the Italian championship in 2000, while Kawasaki Puccetti Racing made its debut in the 2006 edition of the CIV, before remaining a permanent entry and a leading actor until 2016. Ten seasons as front runners, in which the squad clocked up numerous race wins as well as the Italian championship title, secured by Stefano Cruciani in 2013.
Manuel Puccetti: “I'm very pleased not only to be back competing in the CIV, but particularly because this participation represents our return to the tracks after the long, enforced break. It will be exciting to return to the Italian championship, a familiar environment for us all and one in which we grew and launched together with FMI the likes of Morbidelli, Nocco, Faccani and Rinaldi, as well as having won the Supersport title with Cruciani. I've never stopped following the CIV, a fantastic school and a great launch pad, especially for Moto3 and Supersport teams and riders. Our participation will serve as a tough training exercise ahead of the production-derived world championships that are soon to restart. Our riders have never stopped, training in the gym and on track, where Mahias and Ottl have used bikes supplied by our team, identical to those used in the world championship but prepared in a stock configuration”.
