Il team Motozoo by Puccetti racing nel WorldSS con Michel Fabrizio e Shogo Kawasaki

dalla collaborazione tra Kawasaki Puccetti Racing ed il Motozoo Racing team è nato il team Motozoo by Puccetti Racing, che nel 2021 disputerà il Campionato Europeo e Mondiale Supersport con le Ninja ZX-6R utilizzate lo scorso anno dalla squadra di Manuel Puccetti, e che verranno affidate ai piloti Michel Fabrizio e Shogo Kawasaki.
Oltre ad utilizzare le moto con le quali Lucas Mahias e Philipp Oettl hanno concluso il mondiale 2020 rispettivamente al secondo ed al terzo posto, la squadra di Fabio Uccelli potrà contare anche sull'assistenza tecnica fornita dal team Puccetti.
Per Fabrizio si tratta di un eccezionale quanto gradito ritorno alle competizioni. Nato a Frascati (Roma) il 17 settembre 1984, Michel si è affacciato ai campionati nazionali nel 2001 disputando il CIV e l'Europeo 125. Un secondo anno nelle piccole cilindrate e poi nel 2003 il grande e vittorioso salto nella Superstock 1000, quando a soli 20 anni ha vinto il campionato. Nel 2004 ha disputato 10 gare in MotoGP per poi tornare nel suo mondo, quello delle derivate dalla serie, gareggiando nel WorldSS. Nel 2015 ha terminato al quinto posto, con 5 podi ed una pole position, mentre l'anno seguente è passato in Superbike, mettendo in mostra tutto il suo indubbio talento, tanto che nel 2008 è entrato a far parte del team ufficiale Ducati. E' rimasto con la casa italiana sino al 2010, quando è tornato a correre con una Suzuki nel team Alstare, lo stesso con il quale aveva vinto il titolo Superstock. La sua avventura nel mondiale Superbike è proseguita con diverse squadre sino al 2015, ed in totale nella classe regina delle derivate Michel ha disputato 218 gare, conquistando 4 vittorie, 35 podi ed una pole position, mentre il suo palmares nel mondiale 600 riporta 14 gare, con 5 podi ed una pole position.
Il prossimo anno Michel metterà a frutto tutta la propria esperienza, con la voglia di tornare in pista, di vincere e di portare il più in alto possibile la Ninja ZX-6R del team Motozoo by Puccetti Racing.

Michel Fabrizio: “Sono molto felice di tornare a correre e di farlo con il team Motozoo by Puccetti Racing, un progetto vincente, con mezzi competitivi e tecnici esperti e di alto livello. Torno al mondiale dopo una pausa di cinque anni, ma oltre ad essere assolutamente integro fisicamente, ho iniziato un programma di allenamento che mi permetterà di arrivare in perfetta forma all'inizio del campionato. Non ho obiettivi particolari se non quello di dare il massimo e di lottare in ogni gara per il miglior risultato possibile. Non vedo l'ora di salire sulla mia ZX-6R e di iniziare ad adattare il mio stile di guida alla mia nuova moto. Ringrazio Fabio Uccelli e Manuel Puccetti per avermi dato questa possibilità, oltre ovviamente a tutti i nostri sponsor che hanno reso possibile il mio ritorno al mondiale”.

Per Shogo Kawasaki si tratterà del debutto assoluto nell'Europeo Supersport. Dopo aver corso l'Asia Talent Cup nel 2016, il pilota giapponese ha disputato una stagione con il team Motozoo Racing nel CIV SS300 nel 2019, mentre lo scorso anno, a causa della pandemia conseguente al Covid19, non ha potuto gareggiare in Europa.

Shogo Kawasaki: ““Sono davvero molto felice di tornare a correre con Motozoo Racing. Con loro ho disputato una splendida stagione 2019 nel CIV SS 300 e mi sono trovato davvero bene, ottenendo buoni risultati in quello che era l'anno del mio debutto nella categoria. Ora tornerò a correre con la squadra di Fabio Uccelli, per di più nel Campionato Europeo Supersport 600, e con una gran moto come la Kawasaki. Sarà la mia prima stagione in 600 e dovrò quindi certamente imparare molto, ma sono sicuro che potremo ben figurare!”

Fabio Uccelli – Team Manager: “Sono felice ed entusiasta al pensiero che il mio team, che sino ad ora aveva gareggiato solo a livello nazionale, possa prendere parte al mondiale e all'Europeo Supersport. Ero uno dei meccanici di Michel Fabrizio quando vinse la Superstock 1000 nel 2003 e spero quindi che questa stagione possa essere altrettanto fortunata. Per quanto riguarda Shogo lo conosciamo bene e sappiamo come metterlo in condizione di esprimersi al massimo. Da lui ci aspettiamo un anno in costante crescita mentre non nascondo che da Michel mi aspetto quei grandi risultati che so che lui è in grado di ottenere”.

Team Motozoo by Puccetti Racing in WorldSS with Michel Fabrizio and Shogo Kawasaki

A collaboration between Kawasaki Puccetti Racing and the Motozoo Racing team sees the creation of team Motozoo by Puccetti Racing, which will compete in the Supersport World and European Championship with the Ninja ZX-6R bikes used last year by Manuel Puccetti's team. The bikes will be entrusted to riders Michel Fabrizio and Shogo Kawasaki.
As well as using the machines with which Lucas Mahias and Philipp Oettl concluded the 2020 championship in second and third place, Fabio Uccelli's team will also be able to count on technical support from team Puccetti.
For Fabrizio, this marks an exceptional but welcome return to competition. Born in Frascati (Rome) on 17 September 1984, Michel competed in both the Italian CIV and the European 125 in 2001. After a second year with the small bikes, he then made the triumphant move to Superstock 1000, winning the 2003 championship at just 20. In 2004, he took part in 10 MotoGP races before returning to ‘his' world, the production-derived series and WorldSS. In 2005 he finished in fifth place, with five podiums and a pole position to his name, while the following year saw him move to Superbike. Having proved his undeniable talent, the Italian joined the Ducati factory team in 2008. He remained with the Italian manufacturer until 2010, when he moved to Suzuki and team Alstare, the same squad with which he secured the Superstock title. His adventure in WorldSBK continued with various teams up until 2015, the Italian competing in a total of 218 races and scoring 4 wins, 35 podiums and a pole position, while in the 600 series he lined up in 14 races and achieved 5 podiums and a pole position.
next year will see Michel harness both his significant experience and his desire to return to the tracks, as he powers team Motozoo by Puccetti Racing's Ninja ZX-6R to the best possible results.

Michel Fabrizio: “I'm very happy to return to racing and to do so with team Motozoo by Puccetti Racing, a winning project with competitive bikes and expert technicians. I'm returning to the championship after a five-year hiatus, but as well as being physically fit, I've started a training programme that will see me in perfect shape by the start of the championship. I don't have particular goals other than to give it my all and to battle for the best possible result in every race. I can't wait to get on my ZX-6R and start to adapt my riding style to my new bike. Rider Shogo Kawasaki will be making his European Supersport debut in 2021. Having competed in the 2016 Asia Talent Cup, the Japanese rider completed an Italian CIV SS300 season with team Motozoo Racing in 2019, but he was unable to race in Europe last year due to the Covdid-19 pandemic.

Shogo Kawasaki: “I'm really pleased to be able to continue racing with Motozoo Racing. I had a great 2019 season with them in the CIV SS 300 and I got on very well, scoring good results in what was my debut year in that category. Now I'll be racing with Fabio Uccelli's team once again, and in the Supersport 600 European championship no less, with a great bike like the Kawasaki. This will be first 600 championship season and so I'll have a lot to learn, but I'm sure that we can do well!”

Fabio Uccelli – Team Manager: “I'm pleased and excited to think that my team, which has only competed at national level until now, will be taking part in the Supersport world and European championship. It will be crucial for the team and riders to be able to count on the support of a competitive, expert team like Puccetti, while we bring our full commitment and enthusiasm as we line up with the best teams in the category. I was one of Michel Fabrizio's mechanics when he won the Superstock 1000 in 2003 and so I hope that this season can be equally fortuitous. As for Shogo, we know him well and know how to give him what he needs to fully express himself.
