Ricomincia il Campionato Mondiale! Secondo round SS e SBK a Jerez
Dopo una pausa di circa cinque mesi dovuta al diffondersi del coronavirus i campionati mondiali Supersport e Superbike ricominciano questo fine settimana sulla pista di Jerez dee la Frontera in Spagna.
Sarà un appuntamento a porte chiuse, riservato alle squadre ed agli addetti ai lavori, e si svolgerà nel pieno rispetto delle norme anti virus.
La Dorna ha diramato i dati Social Media Overview del mondiali SBK/SS del 2019 e li ha paragonati a quelli ottenuti negli stessi social media durante il periodo di quarantena. Grazie al lavoro dell'organizzatore e a quello dei team e dei piloti, che non hanno mai smesso di comunicare, c'è stato un incremento degli utenti che si sono interessati ai mondiali delle derivate dalla serie. Un ottimo risultato che testimonia della grande visibilità di questi campionati.

Il team Kawasaki Puccetti racing è partito alla volta della Spagna dal Misano World Circuit, dove ha disputato il secondo round del Campionato Italiano Velocità. Un ultimo importante allenamento in vista delle tre gare della Superbike e delle due gare della Supersport che si disputeranno sulla pista andalusa.
I piloti Supersport Lucas Mahias e Philipp Oettl ed il pilota Superbike Xavi Fores, si sono sempre allenati ed arrivano in Spagna in perfetta forma. La squadra di Manuel Puccetti non ha mai smesso di lavorare sulle loro moto, e guarda quindi con fiducia alla ripresa del campionato.
La pista di Jerez è intitolata allo scomparso Angel Nieto, ed ospita da anni sia le gare della MotoGP che quelle del Mondiale SBK. Il tracciato misura 4.423 metri, con 13 curve otto delle quali a destra e 5 a sinistra. La pole position è a destra.

“Posso considerare Jerez la pista di casa. Ci sono anche altre piste che mi piacciono, ma qui sono sempre andato molto bene. Nei test che abbiamo svolto a novembre avevo trovato un buon assetto ed un ritmo veloce, non lontano dalle prime posizioni. Se riusciremo a riprendere quei dati e a ripartire da quell'assetto, sono fiducioso di poter fare bene, anche se rispetto ai test troveremo senza dubbio un gran caldo. Veniamo da due belle gare a Misano CIV e mi sento pronto per ricominciare”.

“Le due gare di Misano CIV mi sono servite per ritrovare il ritmo di gara, ma non vedo l'ora di tornare sulla mia moto e di correre a Jerez, una pista che mi piace. Sono molto contento di tornare a gareggiare nel mondiale e l'unica cosa che mi preoccupa è che troveremo temperature molto alte. Ho guardato le gare della MotoGP che si sono corse pochi giorni fa proprio sulla pista spagnola, e guardando il viso dei piloti ho capito che sarà molto dura”.

“Conosco bene la pista di Jerez e sono felice di poter tornare a correre sul tracciato andaluso. Dopo le gare disputate a Misano sono pronto a ritornare nel clima del mondiale e a lavorare con la mia squadra per trovare il più presto possibile un buon feeling con la mia ZX-6R. Disputeremo due gare in due giorni, ma è la stessa cosa che abbiamo fatto nel CIV e quindi la cosa non mi preoccupa. Mi preoccupa invece il gran caldo che troveremo in Spagna, ma sarà caldo per tutti e quindi darò il massimo come sempre per ottenere il miglior risultato”.

The World Championship returns! The second SS and SBK round at Jerez
After a break of roughly five months owing to the spread of coronavirus, the Supersport and Superbike world championship will restart this weekend at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Spain.
it will take place behind closed doors, with only teams and essential staff present, and all anti-virus protocols will be respected.
Dorna has shared its Social Media Overview for the 2019 SBK/SS world championship and likens that data to figures relating to the same social media channels during the lockdown period. Thanks to the hard work of the organiser, teams and riders, who have never stopped communicating, there has been an increase in the number of users interested in the production-derived championships. An excellent result that confirm the significant visibility of these series.

The Kawasaki Puccetti Racing team has left for Spain from the Misano World Circuit, where it competed in round two of the Italian CIV championship. One final training exercise ahead of the coming weekend's three Superbike races and two Supersport races at the Andalusian track.
Supersport riders Lucas Mahias and Philipp Oettl and Superbike rider Xavi Forés have continued to train and arrive at Jerez in great physical shape. Manuel Puccetti's team has worked tirelessly on their bikes and feels confident ahead of the imminent championship restart.
The Jerez track is dedicated to the late Ángel Nieto and has hosted the MotoGP and WorldSBK races for many years. 4423 metres in length, the track features thirteen corners, eight of which are right-handers and five left-handers. Pole position is to the right.

“I consider Jerez my home track. There are others I like too but I've always done very well there. During the November test sessions, I found a good setting and great pace, not far from the frontrunners. If we're able to use that data and start from there, I'm confident we can do well, although it will be a lot hotter now of course. We've just completed two great CIV races at Misano and I feel ready to get going.”

“The two CIV races at Misano helped me to get back into the race rhythm, but I can't wait to get back on my bike and race at Jerez, a track I enjoy. I'm pleased that we're back racing in the world championship and my only worry is that it's going to be very hot. I watched the MotoGP racing which took place at the same track just a few days ago and looking at the riders' faces, I realise it's going to be tough.”

“I know the Jerez track very well and am pleased to be racing there again. After the Misano races, I feel ready to get back to the world championship and work with my team to find good feeling with my ZX-6R as soon as possible. We'll compete in two races in two days, but we did the same in the CIV and so I'm not worried. What worries me more is the heat we'll have in Spain, but we're all in the same boat and so I'll give it my all, as always, to score the best possible result.”
