Ecco il nuovo calendario 2020!
Finalmente si ritorna in pista!
E’ stato diramato oggi dalla Dorna il nuovo calendario 2020 dei mondiali Superbike e Supersport. La lunga pausa dovuta al diffondersi del Coronavirus si concluderà il 31 luglio, quando sul circuito di Jerez de la Frontera in Spagna inizierà il secondo round dei mondiali SBK e SS, dopo che il primo si è disputato in Australia, ai primi di marzo sulla pista di Phillip Island.
Dalla Spagna i team si sposteranno in Portogallo, all’Autodromo do Algarve di Portimao dove dal 7 al 9 agosto si svolgerà il round numero tre.
A seguire doppio appuntamento al Motorland Aragon nei pressi di Alcaniz in Spagna. Il quarto round dal 28 al 30 agosto ed il quinto la settimana successiva dal 4 al 6 settembre.
I team Superbike e Supersport resteranno ancora in Spagna per il round numero sei, che andrà in scena sul circuito di Catalogna a Barcellona dal 18 al 20 settembre.
Un solo weekend di pausa e poi sarà la volta di Magny Cours in Francia, dal 2 al 4 ottobre. Per quanto riguarda l’ottavo round, che si dovrebbe disputare in Argentina sul circuito San Juan Villicum, non c’è ancora la conferma definitiva, così come resta da confermare la tappa finale della stagione 2020 che è prevista in Italia al Misano World Circuit.
Restano invece ancora da definire le eventuali ulteriori tappe di Donington Park in Inghilterra, Assen in Olanda e Losail in Qatar.
Ricordiamo che per quanto riguarda il mondiale Superbike il programma del weekend di gare resta invariato con Gara1 il sabato, la Superpole Race la domenica mattina e gara2 la domenica pomeriggio. Il mondiale Supersport invece passa da una a due gare per ogni round. La prima il sabato pomeriggio e la seconda la domenica in tarda mattinata.

The new-look 2020 calendar has landed!
Finally a return to the racetrack!
Dorna has now published the new 2020 calendar for the Superbike and Supersport world championships. The long break owing to the coronavirus outbreak will come to an end on 31 July, when the Jerez de la Frontera racetrack in Spain will host the second round of the SBK and SS championships, the first having taken place in Australia, at the Phillip Island circuit, back in early March.
From Spain, teams will travel to Portugal and the Autodromo do Algarve in Portimao where round three will play out from 7 to 9 August.
Following on from this is a double-header at Motorland Aragon near Alcaniz in Spain, with round four set to run over the weekend of 28-30 August and round five from 4 to 6 September.
The Superbike and Supersport teams will then remain in Spain for round 6, which will play out at the Catalunya circuit in Barcelona from 18 to 20 September.
After a one-week break, it’s on to Magny-Cours in France, from 2 to 4 October. As for round 8, which should take place in Argentina at the San Juan Villicum track, there is no final confirmation as yet, and the same applies to the 2020 season finale, which may play out in Italy at the Misano World Circuit.
Possible rounds at Donington Park in the UK, Assen in The Netherlands and Losail in Qatar are all still to be defined.
In terms of the Superbike world championship, the weekend schedule remains unchanged, with Race 1 taking place on Saturday, the Superpole Race on Sunday morning and Race 2 on Sunday afternoon. However, the Supersport category will now involve two races per weekend rather than one, the first running on Saturday afternoon and the second on Sunday morning.
