Kawasaki Puccetti Racing – Si ritorna in pista! Due giorni di prove a Misano.

Il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing torna in pista il 14 e 15 marzo sulla tracciato del Misano World Circuit. Dopo la lunga pausa invernale nella quale i tecnici del Kawasaki Puccetti Racing non hanno mai smesso di lavorare sulle proprie moto, è ora tempo di tornare in pista, per iniziare la preparazione ai prossimi campionati mondiali Superbike e Supersport il cui primo round è previsto nel weekend del 21-23 maggio al Motorland Aragon in Spagna, secondo un calendario è stato di recente modificato dalla Dorna, che ha spostato a data da destinarsi il round dell’Estoril in Portogallo ed ha inserito, in quello che sarà il quinto appuntamento del mondiale dal 20 al 22 agosto, il Circuito de Navarra in Spagna. L’autodromo prende il nome dalla regione che lo ospita, e si trova in prossimità della città di Los Arcos. La pista è lunga 3,933 chilometri ed è stata inaugurata ufficialmente il 19 giugno 2010.
Quando mancano circa due mesi all’inizio dei campionati, il Kawasaki Puccetti Racing scende in pista al Misano World Circuit, per due giornate di prove che rappresentano l’inizio del programma di test che consentiranno ai piloti del team di Manuel Puccetti di arrivare pronti al primo round di Aragon.
In Superbike il vice campione del mondo Supersport 2020 Lucas Mahias, dovrà continuare a prendere confidenza con la massima cilindrata. Il francese ha già provato la Ninja ZX-10RR lo scorso novembre sulla pista di Jerez, e ora ha l’obiettivo di proseguire il lavoro di adattamento alla nuova categoria ed alla sua moto.
Discorso simile per la new entry Can Oncu, che proviene dal mondiale Supersport, ma che non ha mai utilizzato la ZX-6R del Kawasaki Puccetti Racing. Per il giovane pilota turco, ormai ripresosi completamente dal brutto incidente automobilistico occorsogli ai primi di gennaio, il compito è quello di iniziare a conoscere la propria squadra, e di iniziare a sfruttare tutto il potenziale della sua moto.
Una moto che invece non ha segreti per Phillip Oettl, terzo nella classifica della Supersport 2020, nell’anno che è stato anche quello del suo debutto assoluto nella categoria. Sono molti ad indicare nel pilota tedesco uno dei favoriti nella lotta per il titolo mondiale, e sarà quindi molto importante per lui arrivare pronto alle prime gare del campionato.

“Per quanto riguarda la modifica al calendario 2021 devo dire che mi fa piacere andare a correre su di un circuito nuovo come quello di Navarra, che si trova in una zona della Spagna molto bella, non lontana dalle città di Pamplona e Bilbao. Parlando invece dei nostri primi test del 2021, sono molto contento che tutto il team torni a lavorare insieme, e a prepararsi ad affrontare una stagione che per noi sarà senza dubbio impegnativa, ma anche molto interessante e con ottime prospettive. Per quanto riguarda la Supersport abbiamo a disposizione due moto completamente nuove, sulle quali i nostri tecnici hanno lavorato durante l’inverno. Nuova anche la Ninja versione 2021, per la quale però siamo in attesa di alcuni componenti, e per questo motivo a Misano Mahias utilizzerà ancora la moto 2020. Speriamo che il meteo ci assista, in modo da poter svolgere due intense giornate di prove, e portare a termine tutto il programma di lavoro che ci siamo prefissati”.

Kawasaki Puccetti Racing… returns to the track! Two days of testing at Misano.

Kawasaki Puccetti Racing will be back on track on 14-15 March at the Misano World Circuit. After a long winter break during which the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing technicians never stopped working on the bikes, it’s now time to return to the track, to start the preparations ahead of the Superbike and Supersport world championships, the first rounds of which are set to take place over the weekend of 21-23 May at Motorland Aragón in Spain, according to a calendar recently updated by Dorna. A calendar that postpones the Estoril event until a future time and inserts the Navarra circuit in Spain as the stage for round five, from 20-22 August. This circuit takes its name from the town in which it is located and lies close to the town of Los Arcos. The track is 3.933 kilometres in length and was officially inaugurated on 19 June 2010.
With two months to go until the start of the championships, Kawasaki Puccetti Racing will be out at the Misano World Circuit for a two-day test, which kicks off the team’s testing programme and will help the riders prepare for the Aragón season-opener.
In Superbike, 2020 Supersport runner-up Lucas Mahias will continue to build confidence with the bigger bike. The Frenchman already tested the Ninja ZX-10RR at Jerez last November and will now continue the work to adapt to what is both a new category and a new bike.
The same goes for new-entry Can Oncu, who comes from the Supersport world but has never ridden the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing ZX-6R. The young Turk, now fully recovered following a serious car accident in which he was involved in early January, will be getting to know his new team and starting to explore the bike’s potential.
A bike that holds no secrets for Phillip Oettl though, third in the 2020 Supersport standings in what was his debut season in the category. Many cite the German rider as one of the favourites for the title this year, and so it’s important that he’s ready for the first races of the championship.

“As for the 2021 calendar changes, I have to say that I’m pleased to go racing at a new track like Navarra, which is in one of the most beautiful areas of Spain, not far from the cities of Pamplona and Bilbao. In terms of our first tests of the year, I’m very happy that the whole team will be back working together again as we prepare for what will surely be a challenging, but interesting season; we have good prospects. As for Supersport, we have two completely new bikes available, and our technicians have worked on them over the winter. The 2021 Ninja is also new, so we’re still waiting for some components, which means Mahias will use the 2020 bike at Misano. We hope the weather helps us, so that we can enjoy two intense days of testing and complete all our scheduled work”.
