San Juan, 13 Ottobre 2018. La prima delle due gare in programma del 12esimo round del Campionato Mondiale FIM Superbike sul nuovissimo circuito argentino di San Juan El Villicum si è conclusa con uno spettacolare podio del pilota del team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Toprak Razgatlioglu.
Dopo essersi rivelato protagonista del fine settimana già a partire dalle libere del venerdì, il pilota turco ha saputo porre il sigillo sulla sua straordinaria performance, conquistando il terzo gradino del podio in gara 1.
Terzo al termine delle libere del venerdì, Toprak non è riuscito a sfruttare al meglio la gomma da tempo in Superpole 2, aggiudicandosi solamente la partenza dalla seconda fila dello schieramento, dalla settima posizione.
Scattato bene al semaforo rosso di gara 1, il pilota turco ha cercato fin da subito di costruire la propria rimonta, ma al primo giro è stato costretto a perdere del terreno per evitare un contatto con due piloti. Riuscito però a rimanere agganciato ai suoi avversari, Razgatlioglu si è ripreso subito la posizione persa ed è riuscito addirittura a risalire al quinto posto dopo pochi giri.
Rimasto alla testa del gruppo, il pilota del team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing ha iniziato a imporre il proprio ritmo, continuando a girare in modo costante e ricucendo lo strappo di oltre un secondo sugli avversari davanti in lotta per il podio.
Sicuro e deciso nonostante alcune gocce di pioggia abbiano iniziato a cadere nella seconda metà di gara in alcuni tratti della pista, Toprak ha attaccato prima Sykes e poi Laverty, conquistando il terzo posto.
Negli ultimi giri, il turco ha continuato a spingere aumentando il gap tra sé e i rivali, mettendo al sicuro la terza posizione e il suo secondo podio assoluto della stagione nel suo anno di debutto in Superbike.
Grazie allo straordinario risultato di oggi, Razgatlioglu aggiunge altri importanti punti alla classifica generale, che lo vede al momento in nona posizione.
Domani alle ore 16:00 si correrà la seconda delle due manche in programma al circuito argentino, nella quale il pilota della squadra di Reggio Emilia tornerà in pista per lottare nuovamente per il podio.

WorldSBK – GARA 2 : Razgatlioglu settimo in Gara 2 Superbike in Argentina

San Juan, 14 Ottobre 2018. Il pilota del team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Toprak Razgatlioglu è stato protagonista di un’altra incredibile performance oggi in Gara 2 Superbike al nuovissimo circuito argentino San Juan Villicum, dove questo fine settimana si è corso il 12esimo round della stagione 2018 WorldSBK.
Dopo lo spettacolare terzo posto conquistato ieri nella prima delle due gare in programma sul tracciato sudamericano, il turco ha sfiorato oggi la possibilità di ripetere il risultato.
Scattato dalla sesta posizione in griglia, Toprak ha compiuto una buona partenza, sferrando subito gli attacchi decisivi che gli hanno permesso di conquistare il secondo posto.
Lanciato nell’inseguimento del primo in fuga, Razgatlioglu ha compiuto diversi giri ad un ritmo elevato nel tentativo di recuperare terreno, ma dopo alcune tornate ha iniziato a soffrire mancanza di grip all’anteriore, dovuta ad un calo improvviso di prestazione degli pneumatici.
Costretto a rallentare perdendo il vantaggio acquisito sugli avversari alle sue spalle, il pilota turco è stato ripreso prima dalle Ducati di Melandri e Davies. Insidiato poi anche da Sykes e Lowes sul finale, Razgatlioglu è scivolato infine in settima posizione, dove ha chiuso la seconda gara del primo round argentino nella storia della Superbike.
Grazie al podio ottenuto ieri in Gara 1 e al piazzamento di oggi, il pilota del team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing occupa ora l’ottava posizione in classifica generale nel suo anno di debutto nel Campionato Mondiale FIM Superbike. Tra due settimane, dal 25 al 27 ottobre 2018, il team reggiano e il suo pilota torneranno in pista per l’ultimo round della stagione che si disputerà sull’affascinante circuito di Losail in Qatar.

WorldSSP: Top ten per i piloti Kawasaki Puccetti Racing nella prima gara Supersport in Argentina della storia

San Juan, 14 ottobre 2018. Termina l’undicesimo round del Campionato Mondiale FIM Supersport per il team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing al nuovissimo circuito argentino di San Juan Villicum con un’altra importante top ten dei piloti Hikari Okubo e Héctor Barberá.
Il giapponese, in difficoltà nelle primissime battute sul nuovissimo tracciato sudamericano inaugurato proprio quest’anno, era riuscito a qualificarsi solamente 16esimo nella Superpole di sabato ed è stato costretto quindi a scattare dalla sesta fila dello schieramento di partenza nella gara domenicale.
Determinato più che mai a concludere il fine settimana con una buona performance Okubo ha iniziato a spingere fin da subito dopo il semaforo rosso, recuperando ben 5 posizioni nell’arco di due giri.
Rimasto solo in undicesima posizione, il pilota del team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing è riuscito a trovare il proprio ritmo diminuendo il distacco dai piloti in lotta per la top ten.
Nel frattempo anche Héctor Barberá è stato protagonista di una grande rimonta. Scattato 12esimo, lo spagnolo è scivolato al 16esimo posto al primo giro, ma sorpasso dopo sorpasso è riuscito a risalire fino a portarsi alle spalle del compagno di squadra.
I portacolori del team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Okubo e Barberá tagliano infine il traguardo rispettivamente in ottava e nona posizione, realizzando il loro miglior risultato in gara della stagione e risultando i due migliori piloti Kawasaki in pista oggi.
Al termine dell’undicesimo round, il giapponese occupa ora la dodicesima posizione in classifica generale, mentre Barberá è 18esimo dopo solamente tre gare disputate nel 2018.
Tra due settimane, il Campionato Mondiale FIM Supersport tornerà in pista per l’ultima gara, dell’anno che si correrà in notturna sull’affascinante pista di Losail in Qatar dal 25 al 27 ottobre 2018.

Podium for Razgatlioglu in the first ever WorldSBK Argentinian round in history

San Juan, 13th October 2018. The first of the two encounters of Round 12 of the FIM Superbike World Championship at the brand new Argentinian circuit of San Juan Villicum ended with a spectacular podium for Kawasaki Puccetti Racing’s rider Toprak Razgatlioglu.
After having been one of the main protagonists on the opening day, which saw him closing free practices 3rd, Toprak wasn’t able to take full advantage of the qualifying tyre in Superpole 2 and he conquered just the seventh position in Row 2 of Race 1 starting grid.
As he got off the line well when the lights went out, the Turkish rider tried immediately to recover some positions but at lap 1 he lost some ground as he had to avoid two riders in front of him.
Razgatlioglu managed to stay with the group and recovered the lost position to then get till fifth place after just a few laps.
The Kawasaki Puccetti Racing rider was able to set his pace and managed to close the gap of more than 1 second on the group at the front that was fighting for the podium.
Despite the drops of rain that started to fall in the second part of the race in some sectors of the track, Toprak kept riding confidently and passed first Sykes and then Laverty conquering the third place.
The Turk kept pushing, increasing the gap between himself and his rivals and finally securing the third position and his second podium finishing in the season so far in his WorldSBK rookie year.
Thanks to the extraordinary podium in today race, Razgatlioglu added other important points to the general standing that currently sees him sitting in ninth position.
Tomorrow at 16:00 local time the second of the two encounters at the Argentinian race track will be held and the rider of the team from Reggio Emilia will be back out on track with the aim of fighting for another podium result.

WorldSBK – RACE 2 : Seventh Razgatlioglu in WorldSBK Race 2 in Argentina

San Juan, 14th October 2018. Kawasaki Puccetti Racing team’s rider Toprak Razgatlioglu put on another strong performance today in Race 2 Superbike at the brand new Argentinian race track of San Juan Villicum that hosted the 12th round of the 2018 WorldSBK season.
After the spectacular third place on the podium conquered in the first of the two encounters at the South American race venue, the Turk was close to repeating the result on Sunday race.
As he got off the line from sixth position on the grid, Toprak made a good start and passed on immediately some rivals till getting into second position.
Razgatlioglu started to chase the leader of the race but after a few good laps he started to struggle, as the tyre performance dropped unexpectedly and he started to feel some grip issue on the front of his Kawasaki ZX-10RR machine.
Forced to lower his pace, Melandri and Davies rejoined the Turkish rider and went past him after a lap. Overtook then by Sykes and Lowes on the final stages, Razgatlioglu dropped back into seventh position where he crossed the finish line of Race 2 of the first ever Argentinian round in the Superbike history.
Thanks to the podium made in Race 1 yesterday and the good placement made today, the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing‘s rider is now eighth in the general standings in his rookie season in the FIM Superbike World Championship.
In a two-week time, from 25th to 27th October 2018, the final round of the season will be held under the floodlights of the fascinating Losail International Circuit in Qatar at night time.

WorldSSP: Top ten for the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing’s rider in the first Argentinian Supersport race in history

San Juan, 14 October 2018. The eleventh round of the FIM Supersport World Championship at the brand new Argentinian race track of San Juan Villicum ended with another top ten result for both Kawasaki Puccetti Racing‘s riders Hikari Okuboand Héctor Barberá.
After struggling on the opening day, the Japanese was able to conquer just the 16th spot on the grid in Superpole and therefore he was forced to depart from Row 6 on Sunday race.
Okubo was determined to finish the weekend with a good performance. When the lights went out on Sunday race, he made a good start and as he began to push immediately, he was able to recover 5 positions in just two laps.
The Kawasaki Puccetti Racing rider reached the eleventh place and he was able then to find his rhythm to lower the gap between himself and the other riders battling for the top ten.
Meanwhile, Héctor Barberá, who finished sixteenth after departing twelfth on the grid at lap 1, managed to build up a great comeback and finished just behind his team-mate.
The Kawasaki Puccetti Racing‘s riders Okubo and Barberá, who were the best Kawasaki riders on track today, crossed the finish line respectively in eighth and ninth positions, which correspond to their best personal performance in the season so far.
At the end of Round 11, the Japanese sits now in twelfth position in the general standings, while Barberá is eighteenth after having just competed for three races of the championship this year. In two weeks the FIM Supersport World Championship will be back out on track for the final battle of the season that will be held under the floodlights of Losail Circuit in Qatar from 25th to 27th October 2018.
