Test molto positivi per Razgatlioglu ed il Turkish Puccetti Racing a Portimao

Si sono conclusi questo pomeriggio all’Autodromo Internacional do Algarve di Portimao in Portogallo i due giorni di test, che hanno visto impegnati tutti i piloti del campionato mondiale Superbike, al rientro dopo la lunga pausa estiva.
Sono state due giornate molto positive sia per il Turkish Puccetti Racing che per il suo pilota Toprak Razgatlioglu, che si sono confermati ai vertici, nonostante domenica il giovane pilota turco sia stato debilitato da una forte forma influenzale, che nel pomeriggio gli ha impedito di prendere parte alla seconda ed ultima sessione di prove.
Tutte le sessioni si sono svolte con il sole e su pista asciutta. Nella giornata di sabato Toprak era stato il più veloce e con il tempo di 1’41”897, stabilito nella prima sessione del mattino, aveva preceduto gli ufficiali Jonathan Rea ed Alvaro Bautista.
Domenica mattina Razgatlioglu è riuscito a migliorarsi ulteriormente e con un giro in 1’41”428 ha terminato il turno al terzo posto. Anche se non ha potuto scendere in pista per la sessione del pomeriggio il pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing ha mantenuto la sua terza posizione nella classifica generale delle due giornate di test.
Al di la dei riscontri cronometrici, i test hanno avuto un esito altamente positivo anche per quanto riguarda il lavoro svolto dai tecnici del team, che hanno lavorato in preparazione al decimo round del campionato mondiale, che si disputerà su questa stessa pista dal 6 al 8 settembre.
Particolarmente interessante il lavoro svolto sulla parte aerodinamica della Kawasaki ZX-10RR di Toprak, grazie alle innovative carenature fornite dall’azienda russa, nonché sponsor del Turkish Puccetti Racing, UMATEX Rosatum, uno dei più grandi produttori al mondo di componenti in fibra di carbonio di alta qualità, robusti e nello stesso tempo particolarmente leggeri.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “Sono stati dei test davvero positivi. Sono molto contento perché nelle prove che avevamo svolto qui a Portimao ad inizio stagione, non avevamo trovato il set up che invece ora ci ha permesso di far segnare dei crono così veloci. Ieri ho trovato subito un ottimo feeling con la mia Ninja ed ho chiuso al primo posto della classifica dei tempi. Questa mattina mi sono migliorato ancora, ma poi purtroppo ho iniziato ad avvertire i sintomi dell’influenza e mi sono dovuto fermare. Ringrazio i miei tecnici per il lavoro svolto e non vedo l’ora di tornare in Portogallo per il weekend di gare”.

Very positive tests for Razgatlioglu and Turkish Puccetti Racing at Portimao

A two-day test session involving all the Superbike world championship teams has concluded today at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao, Portugal, putting an end to the long summer break.
The test proved very positive for Turkish Puccetti Racing and its rider Toprak Razgatlioglu, who played a starring role, despite the young Turkish rider having suffered from flu-like symptoms on Sunday, which prevented him from taking part in the second and final test session.
All sessions took place in sunny conditions and on a dry track. During Saturday, Toprak was the quickest and with a time of 1’41”897, set in the morning’s first session, he closed ahead of factory riders Jonathan Rea and Alvaro Bautista.
On Sunday morning, Razgatlioglu was able to further improve and with a lap time of 1’41”428 he finished in third place. Although he was unable to ride come the afternoon, the Turkish Puccetti Racing rider held third place in the overall two-day standings.
Aside from the lap times, the tests were also positive in terms of the work completed by the team’s technicians, in preparation for round two of the world championship, which will take place at the same track from 6 to 8 September.
Of particular interest was the work carried out on the aerodynamics of Toprak’s Kawasaki ZX-10RR, thanks to the innovative fairing provided by Russian company UMATEX Rosatum, a sponsor of Turkish Puccetti Racing but also one of the world’s leading producers of high-quality carbon fibre components, strong but at the same time extremely lightweight.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “The tests have been really positive. I’m very pleased because in the tests we completed here at the start of the season, I never round the set-up that has now allowed me to set some very fast times. Yesterday, I immediately found good feeling with my Ninja and I finished in first place overall. This morning I improved again, but then unfortunately I started to suffer flu-like symptoms and I had to stop. Thanks to my technicians for all their hard work and I cannot wait to come back to Portimao for the race weekend”.
