Due giornate di test a Jerez e due a Portimao per il team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing
La pausa invernale è terminata ed il team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing si accinge a tornare in pista per i test, in preparazione al primo round del campionato mondiale Superbike e Supersport che si disputerà a fine febbraio sulla pista di Phillip Island in Australia.
Il team di Manuel Puccetti è già a Jerez de la Frontera in Spagna, dove il 23 ed il 24 i due piloti Supersport il francese Lucas Mahias, il giapponese Hikari Okubo ed il pilota Superbike, il turco Toprak Razgatlioglu, svolgeranno due giornate di test, che verranno poi replicate il 27 ed il 28 sulla pista di Portimao in Portogallo.
Lucas Mahias era già salito sulla Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R a Jerez a fine novembre. Fu un primo contatto molto positivo, ed ora il pilota francese avrà modo di approfondire la sua conoscenza della moto e del suo nuovo team. Okubo conosce già la sua squadra, ed è ansioso di valutare tutte le migliorie apportate sulla sua moto dai tecnici del team.
Le novità non mancheranno nemmeno sulla Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR di Razgatlioglu, dal quale tutti si attendono che migliori i già lusinghieri risultati ottenuti lo scorso anno.
“Abbiamo tante cose da provare e da verificare – ha dichiarato il team Principal Manuel Puccetti – e quindi cercheremo di sfruttare al massimo queste quattro giornate di test. Nella pausa invernale non abbiamo mai smesso di lavorare sulle nostre moto e sia a Jerez che a Portimao testeremo alcune novità che riguardano l’elettronica, le sospensioni, il cambio ed il motore. Sia i tecnici che i piloti sono ansiosi di tornare in pista e di lavorare per affrontare poi nel migliore dei modi il primo round del campionato”.

Two days of testing at Jerez and two at Portimao for the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing team
The winter break is over, and the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing team prepares to return to the track for testing, ahead of the opening Superbike and Supersport world championship rounds that will take place in late February at Phillip Island in Australia.
Manuel Puccetti’s team is already in Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, its two Supersport riders, Frenchman Lucas Mahias and Japanese Hikari Okubo, and its Superbike rider, Turk Toprak Razgatlioglu, all set for two days of testing on 23 and 24 January, as well as two further days on 27 and 28 at the Portimao track in Portugal.
Lucas Mahias already rode the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R at Jerez in late November. This initial approach proved positive, and now the French rider will have chance to understand more about the bike and his new team. Okubo already knows the team and is keen to get a better grasp of the improvements made to his bike by the team’s technicians.
Razgatlioglu’s Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR also benefits from some new components, the team convinced that the rider will be able to improve on last season’s already very positive results.
“We have many things to test and check – states Team Principal Manuel Puccetti – and so we will try to make the most of these four test days. We worked on the bikes incessantly over the winter break and will now test some new elements relating to the electronics, suspension, gearing and engine while at Jerez and Portimao. Both the technicians and the riders are keen to get back on track and work in order to be as prepared as possible for the first round of the championship”.
