Turkish Puccetti Racing – Razgatlioglu è decimo in gara1 WSBK a Buriram

Si sono disputate oggi al Chang Internationl Circuit di Buriram in Tailandia, la Superpole e la prima gara del secondo round del campionato mondiale Superbike.
Nella giornata di ieri il pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing, Toprak Razgatlioglu, nonostante il grande impegno profuso assieme alla sua squadra, aveva incontrato alcune difficoltà nell’identificare la migliore messa a punto per la sua Ninja ZX-10R.
Questa mattina, in una giornata molto calda, Toprak è sceso in pista per disputare il terzo ed ultimo turno di prove libere e per prepararsi alla successiva Superpole. Il suo tempo di 1’34”536 è stato di quasi mezzo secondo inferiore a quello di ieri, ma non ha migliorato la sua diciottesima posizione in classifica.
In Superpole Toprak si è impegnato al massimo ed ha abbassato il suo best lap di oltre un secondo. Con il tempo di 1’33”466 il giovane pilota turco ha chiuso al tredicesimo posto e quindi ha preso il via dalla quinta fila, nella prima gara del weekend che si è disputata nel pomeriggio sulla distanza di 20 giri.
Razgatlioglu è scattato bene allo spegnersi del semaforo, ma alla prima curva è stato urtato da un altro pilota ed ha dovuto uscire di pista. Prontamente rientrato Toprak era autore di un’ottima rimonta e nonostante alcuni problemi ai freni risaliva sino alla decima posizione finale. Un risultato eccellente, che lo ha visto primo dei piloti Kawasaki privati e per di più ottenuto su di una pista ostica.
Domani Razgatlioglu sarà in pista in mattinata per il warm up, in preparazione alle due gare che completeranno il programma di questo secondo round: la Tissot Superpole Race di soli 10 giri e gara2, che come oggi si disputerà sulla distanza di 20 giri.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “Ero partito bene, ma alla prima curva mi hanno buttato fuori pista e sono rientrato nelle ultime posizioni. Ho forzato il mio ritmo per cercare di recuperare posizioni e ci sono riuscito, nonostante alcuni problemi ai freni che mi hanno fatto perdere del tempo in alcune curve. Mi sono adattato a questo problema e ho continuato a spingere forte sino ma chiudere in decima posizione. Non è il risultato che speravo ma oggi era difficile fare meglio. Grazie al mio team che ha lavorato molto per me anche oggi”.

Turkish Puccetti Racing – Razgatlioglu is tenth in WSBK race 1 at Buriram

The Superpole and first race making up round two of the Superbike world championship took place today at the Chang Internationl Circuit in Buriram, Thailand.
During yesterday’s sessions, Turkish Puccetti Racing rider Toprak Razgatlioglu, despite having worked hard with his team, had some difficulties in identifying the best set-up for his Ninja ZX-10R.
This morning, in very hot conditions, Toprak headed out for the final free practice, ready to prepare for the subsequent Superpole. His fastest time, a 1’34”536, was almost half a second quicker than his best of yesterday, but was not enough to improve his position, eighteenth, in the standings.
In Superpole, Toprak gave it his all and lowered his best lap by more than a second. With a time of 1’33”466, the young Turkish rider finished up in thirteenth place and therefore lined up on the fifth row of the grid for the first of the weekend’s races, which ran over 20 laps.
Razgatlioglu made a good start as the lights went out, but at turn one he was hit by another rider and ran off track as a result. Quickly back on track, Toprak recovered well and despite some issues with the brakes, he was able to move up and finish in tenth place. An excellent result, achieved at a tough track, and one that saw him close first among the privateer Kawasaki riders.
Razgatlioglu will take part in tomorrow morning’s warm up, in preparation for the day’s two races, namely the 10-lap Tissot Superpole Race and Race 2, again running over 20 laps.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “I started well but at turn one they pushed me off track and I was at the back when I rejoined. I really pushed to try and make up some positions and managed to do so, despite some braking issues that caused me to lose valuable time through certain corners. I dealt with the problem and continued to push and was able to finish in tenth place. Not the result I hoped for, but it was hard to do any better today. Thanks to my team for all their hard work again today.”

Turkish Puccetti Racing – Razgatlioglu due volte nono nelle gare WSBK di Buriram

Si è concluso oggi al Chang International Circuit di Buriram in Tailandia il secondo round del campionato mondiale Superbike, in una giornata calda e soleggiata.
Nel warm up del mattino il pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing, Toprak Razgatlioglu, ha lavorato assieme al suo team per raffinare il set up della sua Ninja ZX-10R e prepararsi alla successiva Tissot Superpole Race, che si corre sulla distanza di 10 giri.
Toprak scattava benissimo allo spegnersi dei semafori e si portava in ottava posizione. Nei giri successivi si trovava in un gruppo in lotta per il settimo posto, ma la gara veniva definitivamente interrotta con la bandiera rossa nel corso dell’ottavo giro, a causa di una caduta con un pilota che restava a bordo pista. Nona posizione per Razgatlioglu nella classifica finale della gara.
In gara2, che ha preso il via alle 16 ora locale, il giovane pilota turco non è partito forte come nella gara precedente, ma in pochi giri ha raggiunto l’ottava posizione. Con il proseguo della gara la sua moto ha iniziato a scivolare soprattutto a causa del gran caldo e della temperatura dell’asfalto che superava i 57 gradi. Ciò nonostante Toprak ha stretto i denti ed è riuscito a concludere ancora al nono posto.
Il prossimo appuntamento con il campionato mondiale Superbike è previsto nel weekend del 5-7 aprile al Motorland Aragon nei pressi di Alcaniz, in Spagna.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “Questa mattina nel warm up la mia moto era molto performante, ma purtroppo con l’aumento della temperatura esterna sia nella gara sprint che in gara2 la mia moto scivolava molto. Purtroppo questo fine settimana è stato condizionato dal fatto che venerdì non abbiamo trovato un set up adatto e sabato e domenica lo abbiamo pagato in gara, anche se i risultati non sono stati negativi, visto che abbiamo sempre centrato la top ten. Il mio team ha lavorato molto e sono certo che già nel prossimo appuntamento di Aragon potremo raccogliere i frutti del nostro impegno”.

Turkish Puccetti Racing – Razgatlioglu ninth in both WSBK races at Buriram

The second round of the Superbike world championship concluded today at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand, in hot and sunny conditions.
During the morning warm-up, Turkish Puccetti Racing rider Toprak Razgatlioglu worked with his team to refine the set up of his Ninja ZX-10R and prepare for the subsequent Tissot Superpole Race, which runs over a distance of ten laps.
Toprak made a great start as the lights went out and was up in eighth position. On the subsequent laps, he found himself part of a group fighting for seventh, but the race came to an early conclusion when the red flag came out on lap eight, following a crash for another rider. Razgatlioglu therefore finished ninth in that race.
In race 2, which got underway at 4pm local time, the young Turkish rider didn’t start as well as in the previous race, but in the space of just a few laps, he was up to eighth place. As the race went on, he began to slide particularly due to the heat and track temperature, which exceeded 57°C. Despite this, Toprak gritted his teeth and was able to finish in ninth place.
The next round of the Superbike world championship is set to take place over the weekend of 5-7 April at Motorland Aragon near Alcaniz, in Spain.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “In this morning’s warm-up, my bike performed very well, but unfortunately as the temperature increased, the bike was sliding around a lot in both the sprint race and race 2. Unfortunately, this weekend was conditioned by the fact that we didn’t find the right set up on Friday and paid for that in the races on Saturday and Sunday, though the results aren’t negative as we’ve made the top ten each time. My team has worked hard and I’m sure we will see the fruits of our labour already at Aragon”.
