Manuel Puccetti: Una giornata memorabile per il nostro team

Manuel Puccetti: “Oggi è stata una giornata memorabile per il nostro team. In Supersport erano più di 600 giorni che un nostro pilota non saliva sul podio. Sono contentissimo per entrambi i nostri piloti, non solo per il terzo posto di Mahias, ma anche per la gara di Okubo che è sempre rimasto a ridosso dei primi. La ciliegina sulla torta ce l’ha messa Razgatlioglu, che ha conquistato il secondo posto in gara2 in Superbike. La nostra moto aveva una messa a punto quasi perfetta, probabilmente migliore rispetto a quelle del team ufficiale. Toprak ha guidato benissimo con grande grinta e talento. Dopo la caduta di ieri la squadra ha lavorato sino a notte fonda per preparargli una moto nuova e lui appena sceso dal podio ha commosso tutti affermando che questo grande risultato era dedicato ai ragazzi della sua squadra. Voglio ringraziare la ELF e la Total Italia per averci permesso di correre in Superbike con questa bellissima livrea, che ci porta fortuna visto che quando l’abbiamo utilizzata siamo saliti sul podio”.

Turkish Puccetti Racing – Fantastica gara di Razgatlioglu, secondo in gara2 a Misano!

Si è concluso oggi al Misano World Circuit il settimo round del campionato mondiale Superbike. Ieri Toprak Razgatlioglu, il pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing, dopo aver ottenuto il decimo posto in Superpole, è stato purtroppo vittima di una caduta in gara1 sulla pista bagnata dalla pioggia. Una scivolata che gli ha impedito di conquistare un ottimo sesto posto.
Questa mattina il giovane pilota turco è tornato in pista per disputare la Tissot Superpole Race, la gara sprint che si corre sulla distanza di soli dieci giri. Dopo essere scattato bene allo spegnersi del semaforo, Toprak ha mostrato subito di poter disputare una buona gara, tenendo un ritmo molto alto, nel gruppo degli immediati inseguitori. Risalito sino alla quinta posizione, nel finale si è portato al quarto posto alle spalle di Haslam, per poi concludere a meno di due decimi dal pilota ufficiale della Kawasaki.
Nel pomeriggio Razgatlioglu ha disputato gara2. Il giovane pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing è scattato molto velocemente dalla seconda fila e si è portato subito al quarto posto al termine del primo giro. In quello successivo Toprak era già terzo e faceva segnare il giro veloce della gara in 1’36”8154. Grazie ad un passo gara estremamente veloce Razgatlioglu al si portava in testa alla gara nel corso del quarto giro, tallonato da vicino dal campione del mondo Jonathan Rea. Toprak restava in testa alla gara sino a quattro giri dalla fine, quando Rea lo superava. Il pilota turco non si dava per vinto, ma non riusciva a tornare in testa alla gara che concludeva al secondo posto, a quattro decimi dal vincitore Rea.
Una grande prestazione del pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing, che conquista il suo terzo podio consecutivo dopo il terzo posto di Imola e quello di Jerez.
Nella classifica del campionato Razgatlioglu è sesto con 121 punti.
Il prossimo appuntamento con il campionato mondiale Superbike è fissato per il 5,6 e 7 luglio sul circuito di Donington Park in Inghilterra.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “La gara2 di oggi è stata la mia miglior gara da quando sono in Superbike. Dopo la caduta di ieri nella quale avevo distrutto la moto, la mia squadra è riuscita a prepararne un’altra, che però nella Superpole race non mi era piaciuta. Per gara2 sapevo che avrei potuto fare una buona gara, perché partivo dalla seconda fila e quindi avrei potuto stare con i primi. Per gara2 la mia moto era perfetta, e mi permetteva di guidare come preferisco. Riuscivo a staccare forte e a tenere un ritmo sostenuto. Sono andato in testa e non ho mai smesso di spingere forte. Nel finale quando Johnny mi ha superato ho provato a resistere e a contrattaccare, ma la mia moto scivolava molto e quindi ho preferito portare a casa questo secondo posto, piuttosto che rischiare un’altra caduta. Dedico questo podio alla mia squadra, che ha lavorato molto per me. Sono contento di essere salito sul podio per loro e per tutti quelli che mi supportano”.

Manuel Puccetti: a memorable day for our team

Manuel Puccetti: “Today was a memorable day for our team. In Supersport, it was more than 600 days since one of our riders was last on the podium. I’m really happy for both our riders, not only for Mahias in third but also for Okubo who was right there, just behind the frontrunners, in today’s race. The icing on the cake is Razgatlioglu, who scored a second-place finish in the second Superbike bike. Our bike had an almost perfect set-up, probably better than that of the factory team. Toprak rode very well with guts and talent. After his crash yesterday, the team worked until very late to prepare a new bike for him and as soon as he came down from the podium he moved us all by telling us that he dedicates this result to the guys on his team. I want to thank ELF and Total Italia for having allowed us to race in Superbike with this wonderful livery, which has brought us luck, considering that we’ve been on the podium when we’ve used it”.

Turkish Puccetti Racing – A fantastic performance by Razgatlioglu, second in race 2 at Misano!

The seventh round of the Superbike world championship concluded at the Misano World Circuit this afternoon. Yesterday, Turkish Puccetti Racing rider Toprak Razgatlioglu, having scored tenth place in Superpole, unfortunately crashed in race 1 on a rain-soaked track. A crash that prevented him from scoring a solid sixth-place finish.
This morning, the young Turk was back on track for the Tissot Superpole race, the sprint race that runs over ten laps. After got away well when the lights went out, Toprak looked as if he could run a good race, maintaining a fast pace within the chasing group. Having moved up to fifth position, the final stages saw him move into fourth behind Haslam, before crossing the line less than two tenths behind the factory Kawasaki rider.
In the afternoon, Razgatlioglu took part in race 2. The young Turkish Puccetti Racing rider was very fast off the line, immediately moving into fourth place by the end of lap one. On the following lap, he was up into third and set the fastest lap of the race, a 1’36”8154. Thanks to his extremely fast race pace, Razgatlioglu moved into the lead on lap four, followed closely by world champion Jonathan Rea. Toprak retained the lead up until four laps from the end, when Rea passed him. The Turkish rider didn’t give up but was unable to regain the lead, crossing the line in second place, just four tenths behind winner Rea.
An excellent performance by the Turkish Puccetti Racing rider who scores his third consecutive podium after finishing third at both Imola and Jerez.
In the championship standings Razgatlioglu lies sixth with 121 points.
The next Superbike world championship round will take place from 5 to 7 July at Donington Park in the UK.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “Today’s race 2 was my best race since arriving in Superbike. After yesterday’s crash, in which I destroyed my bike, my team was able to prepare another, though I didn’t like it in the Superpole race. For race I knew I could run a good race, because I was starting from the second row and so knew I could stick with the frontrunners. My bike was perfect and allowed me to ride in the way I like. I was able to brake hard and push to the max. I moved into the lead and never stopped pushing. In the final stages, when Johnny passed me, I tried to resist and fight back but my bike was sliding around, and I preferred to take second than risk a crash. I dedicate this podium to my team, who have worked so hard for me. I am pleased to have reached the podium for them and everyone who supports me”.

Turkish Puccetti Racing – Una caduta ferma la rimonta di Razgatlioglu in gara1 a Misano

Il Turkish Puccetti Racing ed il suo pilota Toprak Razgatlioglu hanno disputato oggi al Misano World Circuit la seconda giornata valida per il settimo round del campionato mondiale Superbike. Ieri, in una giornata calda e soleggiata, il giovane pilota turco aveva concluso le due sessioni di libere in undicesima posizione e questa mattina è tornato in pista per il terzo ed ultimo turno di prove libere. Sulla pista umida per la pioggia caduta durante la notte Toprak ha fatto segnare il tempo di 1’50”688.
In tarda mattinata, su pista asciutta, si è disputata la Superpole che ha deciso le posizioni sulla griglia di partenza della gara del pomeriggio. Dopo alcuni giri con la gomma da gara, Toprak ha montato la gomma da qualifica con la quale ha percorso un giro veloce in 1’35”610, migliorando di oltre un secondo il suo best lap di questo weekend ed ottenendo il decimo posto e la conseguente quarta fila, nella gara che ha preso il via nel primo pomeriggio, sulla distanza di 21 giri.
La gara è stata inizialmente ritardata a causa della forte pioggia. Dopo la partenza, sempre sotto la pioggia, la gara è stata fermata al quarto giro perché la pioggia aveva aumentato la sua intensità rendendo la pista inagibile. Nuova procedura di partenza dopo oltre mezzora, per una gara ridotta a 18 giri. Razgatlioglu inizialmente occupava la tredicesima posizione, attento a non commettere errori sulla pista resa insidiosa dalla pioggia che continuava a cadere. Mano a mano che la gara proseguiva, Toprak prendeva confidenza con la sua moto ed iniziava a recuperare posizioni. Undicesimo a pochi giri dal termine, il giovane pilota del Turkish Puccetti Racing negli ultimi giri incrementava il proprio ritmo, superava quattro piloti e si portava al settimo posto. Purtroppo proprio nel giro finale Razgatlioglu era vittima di una caduta, che lo costringeva mestamente al ritiro. Domani sarà impegnato nella Tissot Superpole Race di 10 giri ed in gara2, che avrà la durata di 21 giri.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “La Superpole si è corsa sull’asciutto ed abbiamo trovato un ottimo assetto per la nostra Ninja. Però quando montiamo la gomma da qualifica la moto fa fatica a curvare e quindi non sono riuscito ad andare oltre la decima posizione. Per la gara ha piovuto ed io sulla pioggia non mi trovo a mio agio. Ho fatto una gara attenta, senza commettere errori, ma nel finale ho visto che potevo tenere un passo più veloce e che stava recuperando facilmente sui piloti che mi precedevano. Ho fatto molti sorpassi e mi sono portato al settimo posto. All’ultimo giro ho visto che avrei potuto superare anche Melandri e chiudere sesto, ma purtroppo ho perso aderenza al posteriore e sono caduto. Mi spiace molto soprattutto per il mio team perché avrei voluto regalargli un buon risultato e invece ho solo danneggiato la mia moto. Domani la pista dovrebbe essere asciutta e quindi darò il massimo per salire sul podio”.

Turkish Puccetti Racing – A crash puts a stop to Razgatlioglu’s progress in race 1 at Misano

The Turkish Puccetti Racing team and its rider Toprak Razgatlioglu took part in day two of this seventh Superbike World Championship round at the Misano World Circuit today. Yesterday, in hot and sunny conditions, the young Turkish rider concluded free practice in eleventh place, before returning to the track this morning for the third and final session. On a damp track following rain overnight, Toprak set a best of 1’50”688.
Superpole took place later in the morning and on a dry track, the session serving to establish grid positions for the afternoon’s race. After a few laps on the race tyre, Toprak put in the qualifying solution with which he was able to complete a fastest lap of 1’35”610, improving by more than a second on his previous best of the weekend to obtain tenth position. This meant a position on row four of the grid for the afternoon’s 21-lap race.
The race was first delayed due to heavy rain. It then got underway, still in the rain, but was brought to a stop on lap four when conditions worsened making the track unrideable. Half an hour later, the race started again, reduced to 18 laps at this point. Razgatlioglu was lying thirteenth in the early stages, taking care not to make mistakes as rain continued to fall on the very slippery track. As the race went on, Toprak gained in confidence and started to make up some positions. Eleventh a few laps from the end, the young Turkish Puccetti Racing rider upped his pace further to overtake four riders and move into seventh. Unfortunately, on the very last lap, Razgatlioglu suffered a crash which led to his retirement from the race. Tomorrow will see him take part in the ten-lap Tissot Superpole Race followed by the 21-lap Superbike race.

Toprak Razgatlioglu: “The Superpole ran in the dry and we found a great set-up for our Ninja. But once we put the qualifying tyre in, the bike struggles to turn and so I was unable to do better than tenth. The race was then wet and I’m not very comfortable in the rain. I ran a careful race, doing my best not to make mistakes, but in the final stages I saw that I could maintain a faster pace and was easily able to catch the riders immediately ahead of me. I made a lot of passes in quick succession and moved up to seventh. On the final lap I saw that I had chance to pass Melandri too, to finish sixth, but unfortunately I lost grip at the rear and crashed. I’m really sorry especially for my team as I would have liked to gift them a good result while instead all I did was damage my bike. Tomorrow conditions should be dry so I’ll do my best to reach the podium”.
